Sunday News

Self-initiated project created to explore collage, assemblage, image, culture and message.

As a former newspaper designer, I wanted to re-interpret the medium to capture new interpretations of culture, image and message. I re-imagined messages presented in a single Sunday news edition to synthesize a new unified expression. In 2010, I began by spending 20 weeks honing the process and understanding the output. In 2011, I made 52 pieces in 52 weeks. I see this year-long exercise as a time-capsule—a tangible reflection and projection. All images from the process are housed at

A select number were permanently mounted and included in my solo exhibition, Assemblage of Meaning.
